No less than President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo denied that Advanced Contact Solutions, leader and pioneer in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), had lost 900 employees recently.

P GMA had honored ACS with her presence in inaugurating the last two ACS sites in Lipa and Araneta, Quezon City. Known as a champion of BPO, President Arroyo quipped, “In fact, they are looking for more workers.”

ACS has been in operation since 1996 and has 6 sites and over 6500 seats. ACS services US, UK, Canadian, Australian and Philippine clients. Through Paxys, its listed company, ACS became the first contact center to be listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

‘We continue to be a strong and stable company,” said Victor M. Endaya, President and CEO of ACS. “The confidence of our clients and partners in our company and the loyalty and determination of our people, continue to be the driving force of our company.”

Labor Secretary Marianito Roque had also confirmed that no one lost his job in ACS after confirming with the company’s Human Resource Manager. “These employees were transferred to other clients of a similar nature of work,” said Roque on a radio interview.

Because of the global economic crisis, the Business Process Outsourcing industry in the Philippines is expected to boom and contact centers, including ACS, will need to hire more people. “It is business as usual for ACS,” said Endaya, “ACS is optimistic and continues to provide the best customer service to our clients and others who look for a delightful experience for their consumers.”
